Our History

SPS International School is named under our most Hon. Sant Prem Singh ji, who was born in the year 1882 at Khodi Dunna Singh , Distt.- Gujarat ( Pakistan). His Mother was Mata Nihal Kaur and Father Wasava Singh. 
 
He  Played a major role in the upliftment of the weaker section of society by Education and introducing Social Reforms .
 
He opened a good number of school in the remote areas like :-
  1. Tanda, Distt.- Gujarat in 1921,
  2.  Babakwal in Distt. – Sheikhupura in 1944
  3.  Khodi Dunna Singh ,Distt.- Gujarat in 1945,
  4. Bhatnura Lubana Distt.- Jalandhar in 1946,
  5.  88Chak Multan in 1947. 
After the partition of Punjab , those schools were re-opened by Sant Prem Singh ji in East Punjab in order to fulfill the needs of his people and for the development of their areas . 
He was also active in Politics of the Punjab. He was very active member of Shiromani Akali Dal  . He contested the election of Punjab Legislative Assembly in 1937and 1946 from Gujarat and Shahpur ( A Sikh Rural Constituency) and he was elected with remarkable lead twice. He remained member of Shiromani Gurudwara Parbandhank Committe (SGPC) , Amritsar. from the year 1922-1950. and also the member of it’s Executive Committee in the year 1937 and 1948. respectively. 
His Educational Programme was further taken up by his Brother Bawa Harnam Singh ji. He re-established SPS Khalsa High School , Begowal in 1955. He did very remarkable work by establishing two Govt. Aided Colleges in 1969 named SPS Karamsar Khalsa College, Begowal and Guru Nanak Prem Karamsar College, Nadala. 
 

About Our School

Founded in 2009 under the aegis of SPS Educational Society . SPS International School is CBSE affiliated day school situated in the small town named Begowal of Distt. Kapurthala serving approx. 300 students from Pre- Nursery to Grade 10th located near Gurudwara Sant Prem Singh ji, Murale Wale.
 
SPS International School stresses individual attention by maintaining a low student-teacher ratio i.e. 1:25
